Two years ago, we launched Baumier with what some might have called a bold idea: to reconnect people, nature, and mobility. We didn't just want to sell bicycles—we wanted to build an ecosystem.
Today, Baumier is proud to become a Certified B Corporation.
Why does this matter so much to us?
Because we believe that success deserves to be redefined. Too often, we sacrifice our well-being and our respect for the living world in pursuit of short-term financial performance.
Becoming B Corp certified is a natural step in our pursuit of Wholeness.
To us, Wholeness means refusing to live or work on autopilot. It means having the courage to be vulnerable, recognizing that a team should be a place of psychological safety, and believing that financial success should be the natural outcome of acting with integrity.
This certification doesn't claim that we're perfect. It reflects the direction we've chosen. It validates the principles that guide us every day:

This is a commitment we make every single day. It requires discipline and accountability, but in return, it gives us something invaluable: the peace of mind that comes from knowing we're building a business the right way.
From Environmental Ideals to Everyday Reality

Wanting to protect the planet and giving ourselves the means to do so are two very different things. At Baumier, we made this a concrete priority from day one by implementing responsible practices throughout our business.
A key part of the B Corp certification we earned in June 2026 recognizes our environmental performance. From our very first year of production, we have measured, evaluated, and continuously improved the way we operate in order to:
- Design our products and shipping packaging according to eco-design principles.
- Manufacture our rims using a reusable wax mandrel.
- Develop a repairable bicycle frame.
- Use shipping boxes made from recycled cardboard.
- Provide reusable wheel bags, made in Québec from partially recycled fabric.
- Responsibly manage our residual materials by finding recovery solutions for 85% of our waste, following the principles of the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
- Maintain high standards for indoor and outdoor air quality.
- Measure our greenhouse gas emissions, including Scope 3 emissions across our supply chain.
Why strive for the lowest environmental footprint possible?
At Baumier, we recognize that carbon fiber is an exceptional material—high-performing, lightweight, and incredibly durable. At the same time, we acknowledge its limitations: it is derived from fossil fuels and, as of 2026, remains difficult to recycle in Canada at the end of its life cycle.
That is why every decision we make includes an environmental lens. Sustainability is not an afterthought—it is part of our decision-making process every step of the way.
